Midewin Visitors Center Exhibit
An introduction to the cultural history of this region of central Illinois includes exhibits ranging from Native American and French occupation railroads, canals and the Underground Railroad, to the development of the Joliet Arsenal. Characters are introduced, in the Welcome Center, that will be developed into on-site interpretive programs across the 18,000 acre prairie restoration site.
