| The Courthouse Tavern is a circa 1802 two-story 2,600 s.f. brick and frame structure that served King and Queen County residents and others participating in court proceedings at the County Courthouse with lodging and meals. The Tavern operated until the early 1940s, when the County purchased the building and renovated it for county offices.
Today, the building has been renovated as a museum interpreting County history as well as life at a 19th century tavern. |
