Pamplin Historical Park
The kitchen quarter at the Banks House was restored to its Reconstruction Period occupation with the interpretive focus on the domestic life of former slaves in the plantation south. Careful attention was paid to not introducing a generalized conjectural history onto the project but allowing the building to tell its own story wherever possible.
