Blenheim Masterplan
Working with Historic Fairfax City Inc, StudioAmmons developed a phased plan for the restoration of the Blenheim estate. The main house, used as a hospital during the Civil War, contains one of the best known examples of Civil War graffiti in this region. The historic house will be restored and a new interpretation and education center will be constructed on the three acre city property. The site will accommodate two additional historic city structures that are being moved from their current locations. Reconstructing the Krasnow barn will allow the facilitation of horse and carriage rides into town as a part of their growing tourism initiative.
