Our AIA design team went to Oakland, Maryland to help the community develop an approach to the revitalization of their downtown with an emphasis on how downtown can continue to server local residents in the context of changing economics and buying trends. After three days of intensive study and community meetings, we developed a work plan for them focused on strengthening their farmer’s market and key downtown destinations to help strengthen the town’s unique identity as a railroad town.
