We purchased what was left of this 1950's auto shop in August and needed to be in it by December.  Working as General Contractor, we led a team of subcontractors through an intense 4 month renovation, putting this derelict downtown property back to work as the StudioAmmons' office and workspace.  We have continued to develop the site which currently contains as large flower and vegetable garden providing food for us year round.  The 18 skylights provide enough natural light that for 3/4 of the year we don't need any artificial light to do our work.  We installed a waste oil furnace for our heat and we manage a few hundred worms that do a good number on our compost.
